We have changed the time of the Tumbling TOTS class on Thursday. It will now be 10:00-10:45.  Later in the year if Emily (teacher) feels the need to split the class we will do it then.  Thank you!

Fall Registration

Hi FFAM families. As my Homeschool books arrived and I began to get
the homeschool room organized to teach in a just over a week, I
realized something, "It's time for fall sign up for Dance at FFAM"!!!
I can't believe summer went by SO FAST. I say that EVERY year, but I
REALLY believe it this year!!!! I hope you and your sweet family have
had a VERY BLESSED summer and that your preparation for the school
year is one of excitement and joy as you prepare for your child's
growth in school and extra curricular activities.

We will have sign up for FFAM Dance next Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in front of the dance studio at Faithbridge Church. There will be two New Student orientations that you will need to attend for your child
if they are new to FFAM. There will be an additional orientation offered the 2nd week of dance (in September) if you are unable to attend either of these orientations. It is important that you attend one of the 3 orientations so that we can explain how our Dance Ministry differs from traditional Dance Studios and it allows you the opportunity to ask questions prior to your child's enrollment.

You will not have to pay tuition until the first week of class (Sept. 4). The only financial requirement you will have on Aug. 4 is a $25 registration fee (per child) to save your spot in the dance class you wish to sign them up for.

We have kept our prices the same this dance year with the exception of the Beg A, Beg B, Intermediate and Advance classes. We increased the price of additional classes by $5 in these age groups only. We are very happy to continue to offer our other classes at the same reasonable prices as last year.

From the Director

Hi FFAM families. I wanted to remind you this is our LAST WEEK of
regularly scheduled dance classes. We will NOT have dance classes next
week (April 30-May4), the week of the recital. We will ONLY have the
rehearsal (May 3) and recital (May 4) next week. We will start the
rehearsal at 4:30pm. I will open the sanctuary area for questions
beginning at 4:00 pm. I will attempt to answer as many questions as
possible prior to 4:30pm so that we can start right on time. In
regards to the recital...it will begin promptly at 6:30pm. Your child
needs to be at the church and in their dressing room by 5:45pm. ALL
parents, siblings and guests will be asked to leave the dressing rooms
by 6:20pm. NO ONE will be allowed back into the dressing rooms past
this point. This is for the protection of the children and the ability
to control the crowds in the hallway during performance time. We will
have assigned adults and youth in the rooms w/ your children who will
help them get dressed and provide supervision to them while you sit w/
your family and enjoy the ENTIRE show. We ask that NO CHILD be picked
up from their dressing room prior to the end of the show because there
is a brief award presentation at the end of the recital.

I will need anyone who did not have their picture taken by Justin
Stricklin to send me a picture of their child that they would like
used in the slide show at the recital. It needs to be a picture of
your child in one of their costumes. Please email it directly to me at
rhondasurber@gmail.com.

For Tumbling Tots, Beg A and Int/Adv students that will be
participating in Tumble at the beginning of the program, you will need
to wear black shorts (w/ elastic or bike shorts) w/ your purple
recital t-shirt. For all other students, they will need to bring their
purple recital t-shirt and they will wear it at the end of the show
during the award presentation. They will also need to wear black
shorts, but they WILL NOT be performing Tumble during the show.

Lastly, ALL RECITAL FEES and APRIL TUITION is PAST DUE. You will need
to provide ALL OF YOUR FINAL PYMTS by Thursday. There are NO
EXCEPTIONS to this.

questions concerning the tights color your child should wear w/ their
costume, shoe color or how their hair should be worn for the recital.

I am SO EXCITED to be at this point in the dance year and I am looking
forward to our recital night. It is going to be a blessing to all as
we share God's message "Until the Whole World Hears".

Recital Costumes

All Recital costumes have been ordered! They should all be here by mid-April.  There is a new page above titled "Recital Costumes and Information", it has pictures of the costumes along with the requirements for hair, tights and shoes. Most every class is to wear their hair in a bun; if your child's hair is not long enough, then please speak with their teacher(s) to find out what they would then like.  ☺ 

Just wanted to remind everyone who attends dance class on Monday's, that there WILL BE dance class Monday, Jan. 16.

I know that kids are out of school to celebrate the MLK holiday, however, the church office is not closed, so we will be open also.

We will not close again until Spring Break, March 19-23. 

Dance Recital info

We have officially been given a date from Faithbridge Church for our dance recital!

It will be on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 6:30pm.

We will have a rehearsal (mandatory) on Thursday, May 3, 2012.

Time to be announced. 

We will keep you informed of any other important recital information as May gets closer.

From the Director

Hi FFAM families. I pray that everyone had a very blessed Christmas and is ready for an AMAZING New Year!!! I wanted to remind all of our students we will begin classes back on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. We will begin teaching our dances for the recital in the New Year. If you have NOT yet paid your recital costume fees, please pay them ASAP. They were due on Dec. 15, unless you have spoken to me in regards to paying them after that date. In addition, some people still owe for the T-shirt and skirt worn at the Christmas Performance at The Avenues Mall. If you have NOT paid for these items, please pay them ASAP.

There is one change for the classes in the upcoming year. Kelsea Gutierriez, our Tumble Teacher will only be able to teach on Monday's now. I will be taking her place on Tuesday's teaching the Pre 2 age group and on Wednesday's there will NO LONGER be a 3:45-4:30pm Tumble class. ALL students (Beg B and Int/Adv) will come at 4:30-5:15pm for their Tumble class. If this is a problem for your child, please let me know ASAP so I can try and assist in any way possible.

Dates and things to Remember

NO DANCE CLASSES Wednesday, Nov. 23 or Thursday, Nov. 24 in lieu of The Thanksgiving Holiday.

We will resume classes on Monday, Nov. 28 and continue through Dec. 1. This will be our last scheduled class for 2011.

We will then take the WHOLE MONTH of December off and resume classes on January 2, 2012.

There is NO TUITION due for the month of December. However, we do ask that you pay your child's recital costume fee in December.

The cost of costume fees are $50 for all the Pre 1, Pre 2 and Pre 3 classes.

The Beg A, Beg B, Intermediate and Advance classes recital costume fees will vary according to how many classes your child takes.
