October News

Our first month of dance at FFAM has already come and gone. It has been a great kick off so far. We are BUSTING at the seams of our Tumbling Tots, Pre 1, Pre 2 and Pre 3 classes. What a blessing that is. The only sad thing is having to turn away interested students for those classes.  If you have other friends/family interested in enrolling their children in that age group, please let them know we are full at this time. We do have room in our Beg A, Beg B, Intermediate and Advance classes. 
We would like to personally thank all of you who have been flexible to change days or times due to class changes. As we have said in the past, FFAM is a ministry first and a dance studio second. We will sometimes have to make changes to accommodate our growth and I appreciate in advance your understanding of this.
Our first shoe came in and they all look great. We now have sizing kits for tap, ballet and jazz for children up to size 3. We are going to be ordering larger sizing kits in the future. We have to make some exchanges for those that didn't fit, so if you would like to place an order please email Melissa (blissfamily3@bellsouth.net) or Rhonda (rfras1@aol.com) to see if we have already done so. We are able to place orders at any time, but if we don't have enough others looking to order you will be responsible for the cost of shipping.

Notice to Parents:

We changed the day of the Pre 1 (3-4) and Pre 3 (5-6) classes. Pre 1 will now attend on Wednesday's from 3:30-5:00 and Pre 3 will now be on Monday's from 3:30-5:00. This was done in regard for those children who will be attending Kindergarten. It may be difficult for them to go to school all day, then dance for a hour and a half and then to any Wednesday night church activities.

We are very sorry if this inconveniences anyone. We look forward to seeing many of you this Saturday at registration from 9-12 at the dance studio.

From the Director

Hi FFAM families. Hope you all are having a blessed, safe and happy summer!!! We had dance camp last week at FFAM and had a GREAT time. We had 40 children in our morning session where we taught 3-7 yr olds tumble, ballet and had devotion time with art and crafts. In our afternoon session we had 12 girls ages 8-14 who participated in tumble and lyrical, as well as 3 boys who participated in tumble. Our focus was on Determination... Hebrews 12:1.

We are now looking forward to our fall classes. We have registration day on Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 9am. - 12pm at the dance studio at Faithbridge Church. If you would like to review the class schedule and tuition fees look under the Studio Information tab at top of blog. During registration we will have an orientation where you can meet with your child's teacher to inquire about their skill level if you are unsure which group they belong in.We will have the orientation beginning at 9am and another at 12pm on August 6th. If you are unable to attend the registration, you will need to contact me at rfras1@aol.com and mail your child's registration fee. You will need to attend an orientation before your child begins classes on September 6, 2011. Time and date of that orientation will be announced at a later time.

In addition, we are considering adding a Hip Hop class for children ages 6-8, ages 8-10 and ages 10-14. If you are interested in your child taking one of these Hip Hop classes, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!! We need to add the classes to our schedule. I would like to know the interest of our students before I add it to the fall schedule.
